Bad customer service
Let me just say the accommodations were just fine. Our problem was with the customer service on the part of a couple of the managers . We stayed for two days in early Feb, and we prepaid the stay through a reservation service. A few days after we checked out, we were charged for the entire stay despite the fact that the stay was paid prior to check-in, and they were aware of that and confirmed that when we checked in. I called a manager to get the money credited minus our pay per view charges. She agreed and said she would do it immediately. Days later, with no credit posted, we called again and spoke to a different manager, who also said the credit would be made immediately. Over two weeks later, with no credit, I contacted the manager again. Here's the worst part: she said she made the credit the first time we spoke weeks earlier. I checked with my bank and the credit was not made. Then the next day, she made the credit. As my bank does not hold deposits and only takes 24 to 48 hours to credit a refund, that means she lied to me about the credit and just posted it upon my third contact with Holiday Inn. I understand mistakes, even ones that take three tries and almost a full month to fix, but I cannot tolerate people, especially in management, who lie to their customers and treat them like idiots who can't figure out she just posted the refund. Despite that the stay was okay and accommodations were nice, I would never stay there again and would not recommend any of my friends ever stay there. When mistakes or problems happen, as they usually do, I'd like to stay at a place where they will take care of it in a timely and respectful manner.
