Live music in bar, Friendly staff

Rating: 10

My friend and I went for dinner the other night and had a great experience. I had the pork chop which was AMAZING! The servers are very nice and know how to take care of you without being in your face. I would totally reccomend it. Plus live jazz in the bar!

beautiful View

The food is wonderful. Not a large menu. What they do have is done well though. Have had trouble getting out in a timely way twice for the symphony. The waiter I keep getting seems aloof. But when he falls short management makes it right by offering a free dessert. Good food but dont expect to get out quickly. Did I mention the view is awsome!!

Totally decadent deep dish cheescake with pecan-graham crust and wine sauce.

Great view, great service, great food .....but don't leave without DESSERT! Not only was it the best cheesecake I've ever had.....they even placed a candle in it for my birthday!!! I'll be back next year when I turn "29" again!

great service, great food and great view...AMAZING ENTERTAINMENT! Try your best to make it to hear Tony Lincoln sing! Talk about a voice of an Angel, she is beautiful, talented and will leave you wanting more. This is one jazz singer you will be hearing more and more about for years to come!!

Check Back Often!

Rating: 8

With only old reviews to go from I was a bit nervous of trying this place. Though in need of an update in decor, I have found my favorite place to go! The staff was very friendly and informative, made great recommendations on food and the new manager filled me in on the exciting plans for renovation. I stayed for Jazz - which was fantastic - and met some great locals! This website doesn't do it justice. I will check back often!

Great Food!

After not being able to get into Portland City Grill, we decided to give the other restaurant with a view we found - very pleasantly suprised. The view was great, service warm and attentive. and the food excellent. We'll call here first next time!

Typical with a view

Rating: 5

Most restaurants atop a hotel are heralded for their breathtaking view and not the food, this is no exception. Appetizer presentation was creative - crab served on an upside down Martini glass with a flower. Drinks were so-so, but the Chris the Bartender was a riot and one of the best around.

Not worth it!

Rating: 3

We decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner before a show, and although the views from the bar were nice, the restaurant views were blocked by the other tall buildings directly around. We ordered a crab appetizer which was good, but not worth the $9 price. The lamb chops were good, but my husband's steak was terrible- very dry and stringy. We will definitely never eat there again. If you must go, stick with drinks in the bar.
