Re: Nightmare from hell

This place was a nightmare from hell.  I stayed their on January 12, 2008 with my wife and two small children.  We stayed in the Wolf's Den Suite with Balcony room.  The room was not so clean to begin with.  The bathroom was the size of a coat closet.

When my wife went to put my children to bed, my daughter reached into the sides of the top bunk bed and her hands were filled with dust and dust mites.  The top bunk bed was dusty, dirty and my two kids had to crunch up in the bottom bunk bed to fall asleep.

The queen size bed that my wife and I sleep on was not comfortable at all.  We both woke up with neck and back aches the next morning.

The cleaning lady just walked right into our room the next day without knocking first.  She wanted to know if we had a late check out.  Now it was not even 11:00 the time we were suppose to check out.

I called the hotel desk and asked a girl named Tara, if we could have a few extra minutes checking out because my wife got sick from the breakfast food and I am finishing up packing.  Tara told me no, that a holiday is coming at the end of the month.  I asked Tara what that has to do with today.  She did not even know what holiday it was.  I guess she meant presidents day.  And the funny thing is that there were plenty of rooms available that Sunday and they were not even sold out.

I called and spoke with a Steven Golas supervisor at the lodge.  He offered to take a $100 off my bill.  I told Steven I just spent $700 to have the worst night of my life.  He then had AGM Mike Ryan call me and offer me 50% off a future stay.  I told Mike I would give them another chance in making things right but I am not going to give them another 50%.  Mike Ryan also told me that they are not a 3, 4, or 5 star hotel so I should not expect a good bed and dustless kid bunk beds.

I also spoke with Curtis Brown who is the operations manager who over sees this place and some others. He told me he would get back to me.  When I called him the next day to see what he was doing to fix this situation, he was rude and told me I was a liar and that he did not believe that people at the great wolf told me what they said.  This is someone who is an executive in charge of the monitoring of this lodge. I told Cutis I did not like the way he was speaking to me the guest and he hung up on me.

This place is an overpriced pit.  Only the water park is included.  Not any of the activities for your kids.  IF your kids want to color it will cost you $15 - $20 per kid.  Mike Ryan AGM told me this is not an all inclusive family resort.  Well it should include the kids activities for stay there one night for $600.

Avoid and spend your money somewhere else. You will wish you did after going there.
