    • Swim with the fishes when you take a dip in The Tank, a year-round swimming hole that includes a massive 200,000-gallon live shark aquarium for your viewing pleasure.
    • The hotel is awesome, but the buffet sucks and all the dealers seem grumpy and are not very friendly
    • At the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino, next to the gift shop, guarded in a secure display case, is the largest golden nugget ever discovered. The rock weighs a massive 61 pounds, 11 ounces.

    • Fight Balrog here.
    • This hotel rocks for the price you pay. It is a 4 star hotel at a 3 star price. With awesome rooms and a great pool. Great for the person who loves Vegas but wants to be off the strip!

Re: Golden Nugget

I have stayed at the Nugget many times, the most recent last week  May 2007.  I have never had a problem.  This year stayed in the North Tower, which is much closer to the casino, elevator opens right next to the casino floor and sundries shop. The North Tower is $25 per night more than the South Tower but worth the cost for the proximity, it is a very long walk from the casino to the South Tower elevators.  The hotel is sparkling clean and safe.  Never had any issues with management or hotel staff that wasn't addressed and corrected immediately. It is my hotel of choice for the Fremont Street Experience..

It is great hotel especially if you want to stay in downtown Las Vegas while you visit the city.  It is right on the main drag and it is connected to the Freemont experience.  It is cool!!
