Partner Reviews: Four Seasons Austin

    • Hang out pool side if you have friends staying there. Have a couple margaritas in the sun. Just go with the teen pop soundtrack.
    • Entry Lobby by fireplace is a comfy spot to recharge + make #sxsw calls.
    • Austin’s Four Seasons is located right on the lake, yet is walking distance to most of Austin’s downtown attractions (except, maybe when it’s 100 degrees outside).
    • Super Sommelier: Red or White? Full-bodies or fizzy? Let sommelier Mark Sayre, named a "Best New Sommelier" by Wine & Spirits, help pick the perfect wine for your palate.
    • Lakeside S'mores: Pull up a chair at the TRIO chimineas, where complimentary S'more fixings are provided each Friday and Saturday night from 8-10pm.
    • "let's disco nap first"
    • let's disco nap first
    • Don't disturb please
    • Awesome granola in Trio for breakfast.
    • Drinks by the pool are unstoppable.
    • PBR in the evening. PBR in the morning. PBR in the afternoon. Don't drink too much and forget about snatching all of the SXSW 2011 badges!
    • Great customer service here...
    • Gin and Soda is unofficial drink of SXSW
    • Do not disturb.
    • Going to TCEA 2011? Stop by the ALL In Learning booth and ask about "Tap It, Click It, Scan It". You might even win an iPod Touch or iPad!
    • Predictably nice rooms; corner suites are great; small bathrooms even there for FSH. Crowded pool, but then it's Austin in August. Helpful conierges.
    • Great mojitos !
    • two words: lemon.basil.mojito.
    • The Four Seasons will bring a free refrigerator to your room if you ask for it or if they see you carrying bottles of water. Sweet!
    • New name- The Two Seasons
    • Great place to run into friends from NYC and Houston ... Totally SMALL world
    • A great place to hang out and do a little celebrity watching whenever big things like SXSW and the various film festivals are going down.
    • and order a martini made with Tito's vodka

Four Seasons -Austin

Rating: 10

I'm an Event planner, I have the reponsibility of scouting and recommending venues all over the world for my clients. The Four Seasons-Austin is one of my faves! The Hotel is fabulous, the customer service is world class, I can assure you being Brazilian-American, and a Miami native I come from a world of diversity and free spirits... so I recognize a person's freedom to live and enjoy their life. But for the Four Seasons to be homophobic is craziness and almost unbelievable to me, I wonder if this was just an "off day" for them. I know the Mgr and am familiar with the concierge staff; I have never gotten the feeling that they were homophobic in the least, however, if I'm wrong, my apologies. I can remind you that discretion is well advised if you're in the Lobby of a place such as The Four Seasons, after all, it is not the red light district in Shanghai. So if I may, I totally get the "affection" thing, no matter what your sexual orientation, but discretion is always a "first class" idea. And although Austin is a very "diverse" and "free spirited" locale, The Four Seasons is a first class Resort and one should act accordingly. I would guess, your sexual orientation is accepted by more people these days than you know, I say love and be loved, just err on the side of what's tasteful...and not "tacky" no matter where you go. But then, this is my humble oppinion, I welcome yours.

Comfortable Space

I stayed here while visiting my daughter and it was a great experience over all. The location itself was quite convenient to all the Austin visits. I felt that it was a little pricey but it was the Four Seasons, what else would you expect. I would recommend if you wanted something on the formal side.

Everything was amazing

Rating: 10

They never let us down. We love staying here as well as just going for some drinks. We loved it so much that it's where my wife and I got married. We stayed there for a week along with our wedding party and everyone had nothing but great things to say about it. It's a great weekend getaway without leaving town.

This is such a nice getaway, and it is right in the heart of the city. The rooms are wonderful, the brunch is amazing, the grounds are beautiful and the staff is friendly.

Great new renovations

Rating: 10

I've stayed at the Four Seasons off and on for a while, and the staff is consistently the top of the line for politeness and friendly service. The standard room is a little small, but very comfortable and has everything you need. Much more comfortable than the Driskill, Omni, SF Austin. The new restaurant is pretty good, and the new spa is the best. Very smart choice to renovate that spa!

Very Romantic and upscale

Rating: 10

My husband and I like to go here after a nice dinner downtown and it never disappoints. The atmosphere feels very romantic and quiet, and is a welcome alternative to the downtown "hot spots" and is a great place for couples. The piano music is also very nice and the service is outstanding.

Celebrities!

Rating: 10

This is one of the few places in Austin where the celebrities hang out. During SXSW, it's packed with LA types and faces you vaguely recognize. They make their own margaritas, too, rather than using a frozen mix.

Wedding Bliss

Rating: 10

My husband and I were married at the hotel May 2002. Our expectations were exceded by their superior customer service. Our guests flew in from all over the country and had the time of their life enjoying all of the hotel amenities. The staff went above and beyond the call of duty and did a fabulous job. Everything was top notch and at a reasonable price compared to other facilities in town. Ladies if you are looking for a little slice of heaven for your special day - consider having it at The Four Seasons.

The Four Seasons in Austin was a complete delight. I actually decided not to do my usual running around just so I could enjoy being in the hotel. My husband and I absolutely loved it and are looking forward to a return visit.

paradise in river city

Rating: 10

We chose the Four Seasons for a weekend away from our first son for the first time. We would spend the day by the pool, picnic by the river, dine on the terrace, and stroll down to see the bats. We arranged for an in-room massage when we returned from a show that was just a short walk away. We were trying to go for a weekend that took us away. The concierge service was great, and we definitely felt worlds away- and it was just minutes from home in case we needed to get back. Perfect!

Really excellent

Rating: 9

They make the best martinis and margaritas and don't charge more than other places (i.e. $7 to $11 per drink) and provide you with excellent snacks for free. The snacks consist of olives, a "trail mix" and sweetened almonds...yum, yum, yum. Late in the evenings (at least on weekends) they have a singer/piano player. Beautiful setting. The wait staff is unpredictable, though not by Austin standards. This isn't the type of service you'd get in a "real" 4 Seasons, but it's pretty good when they try.
