bad service, expensive, not clean, 5 dollars charge for keeping your luggage at check out

Rating: 2

First DONT book on the website.. I paid 30 additional dollars by booking online that people who arrived without booking! Be prepared to pay 5 dollars extra for letting them keep your luggage for a few hours the day you check out. They calculate the TAX differently with diferent people... I paid 119 + 13% tax... and 2 guys came today and paid 90+(5 dollars tax).... with NO reservation. Here it is!! The wireless network does NOT work correctly. I got the access after 3 days although it is an unsecure network but it just does not work correctly!... The bathroom is not really clean and not cleaned during your stay... No breakfast included!! And an awful and EXPENSIVE pizzeria right close to the hotel. I will NOT NOT NOT recommend it!!

Horrible!

OMG this place is HORRIBLE! My husband and I wanted an economical, short vacation in Portland. I decided on this "hotel" due to the downtown location, and the price ($90/night). We pulled up and my hubby immediately noticed the building looked like it hadn't been touched in 20 years. The desk attendant seemed surprised that we were there, even though I had called ahead for a reservation. After paying for the room, he insisted that we check it out first to make sure we liked it. "Our rooms are very nice, very clean". Really? It looked and smelled as if the room hadn't been cleaned since the last guests cooked meth in it. Stains of questionable origin on the walls, food splatters in the microwave, cigarette burns on every surface, and human hairs on the obviously unwashed linen. We looked at two rooms, both of which were absolutely horrendous, and one room even still had a previous guest's toothbrush in it. The hallways have age stained carpets, dirty walls, and smell of must and mildew with just a hint of the scent of Lysol to top everything off. The attendant and manager refunded our money nicely, but blamed the state of the rooms on the "maids". The manager stated he would go inspect the rooms and fix the problem. I don't think they even employ a maid. If I could give the Downtown Value Inn no stars, I would. Frankly, we both would rather stay under a bridge than spend one night in that place. On a good note, we found a room at the Comfort Inn, 1/2 a block away from the MAX, for $50 more a night. It was clean, had a jacuzzi, and included breakfast. Well worth the money!

This is a one and a half star motel, what can I say? The room is very simple and well, ugly. It is dirty and not kept well. The only reason ...

Well, it was cheap

I wasn't expecting a chocolate on the pillow. But, I did expect more than one lighting fixture and plumbing that was in good shape. The supposed parking was sold to students at Portland Univ. There were no screens on the windows. The chairs dining room chairs (no lounge or comfortable chair). Finally, they left us ONE plastic glass for two people.
