Call me when it's done
The hotel is in major construction. The rooms that are available is so old that the wall papers are peeling. The tub was leaking water. Furnitures are worn as well.
friendly staff, busy hotel
The staff was absolutely the nicest staff I've ever encountered...however, the lobby was always VERY busy!! There were always a ton of people, no matter what time of day or night. On the whole, the hotel was great, as long as you don't mind the chaos in the lobby.
A fine hotel
The hotel is handily placed to get around NYC, was clean, functional, large rooms and friendly staff. Excellent value for money and I'd definately recommend.
a great place to stay
the rooms were big, for nyc hotel rooms, and very nice, very clean. everyone was super-friendly, and the bar downstairs was a fun place to meet for drinks before or after going out. and it's in a pretty central location--i would definitely stay here again.
Not Comfortable
I'll pay the extra money next time and stay somewhere else. Noisy, (fire station across street) and bed was not comfortable.

Franklin at the main desk is wonderful! Thoughtful, knows the area, and can recommend a great restaurant to any preference. -
The desk clerks might be persuaded to give extra welcome cookies for milestone birthdays...:) -
Nom alert: Check-in includes warm cookies. -

Bathroom wasn't very clean. Don't think they actually cleaned the toilet. Expected nicer. Still, wasn't horrible. Staff was nice. -
Ess a Bagel. the best -
While ferrying ready for work a guy was cleaning the key slots wearing globes and a bag. Creepy. Use your safe! FYI also slamming doors and vacuums not cool in my door. I work nights@ mt sinai! -
Doubletree cookies are awesome! Room service is a rip. If you need toiletries at night, you're better off going to Duane Reade. If you call, you'll get a voicemail and they may never call you back. -
Still waiting my bathroom to be clean up! Try another hotel. -
Stay at W down street. Concierge service couldn't even recommend mid-priced breakfast spot. Room was just eh. Handing me a cookie because you couldn't give me the queen bed I reserved doesn't make up. -
The union rat was outside one day. Apparently the place had scores of bed bug complaints. -
Connect to the wifi network in the lobby, then go to your room. Pow, free wifi. Thank me later. -
Las galletas calentitas que te dan cuando haces el check in son deliciosas y las camas muy comodas y grandees!!! -
Sam Adams @ lobby bar works. -
Rooms look far worse than presented on website. While staff (namely Simone) is very good the hotel somewhat fails short of Hilton fame. -
Free wifi in the lobby! -
If you get in before 10am, don't even bother trying to check in.. -
Plan for extra time getting up and down if you're staying here--it can take upwards of 15 minutes to get an elevator! -
I love their cookies~ lots of choices for food at anytime of the day -
Plan ahead if you plan to take a hot shower. I think the water heater is located in Jersey -
Noisy. Fire truck Sirens. Doors banging. Horrible service. -
Great service and location. Welcoming cookies were yums! Rooms all differ slightly in layout. Good variety of neutrogena toiletries in toilet. -
Say hello to Reggie the doorman for me! -
Service great and good looking middle eastern woman at front desk. But be weary if they try to uprade because they told me they were "upgrading" to king bed but the room smelled like curry and sweat. -
The warm cookies are great. But mold on my bathroon ceiling and no valet parking. -
Their currently going under renovation on certain floors, hallways are gutted and kinda creepy, but rooms are fine and a lot cheaper -
reasonable rates if you book pre-paid :) -

-
Make sure you get your warm cookie upon check-in. So good! -
2 hours complimentary wifi connection. Try it
