Overpriced, tiny rooms, lame restaurant
$40/day to park car Lazy maids... acted all "put out" if you want room cleaned. They show up at about 4pm. Hotel pool water is not heated. The rooms are small compared to most hotels. The do give you plenty of pillows, though. The tiny bathrooms have very shallow, low toilets, but do expect blistering hot water from the tap. Rooms only have very basic cable and internet connection is $10 for 6 hours. There are the usual bottles of water in the room.. $8 The best things about this place are the location next to the beach and the microwaved cookies they pass out.
Stay Somewhere Else
Now the Doubletree Surfcomber. Although the hotel staff was friendly and the hotel restaurant was decent, it appeared to be run by college students. Room was very small and boring. Bathrooms were tiny and water pressure was very low in the sinks/shower. Housekeeping didn't show up at all some days. Parking situation was horrendous at the hotel, as well as the rest of Miami Beach. If you're down for the atmosphere, stay somewhere else. If you're down for peace and quiet, you're REALLY in the wrong place.
