In checking in, the staff never asked if we needed any help on directions even though we found the location near one of the subways stops on our way back that night. The person who took us to our room should have showed us ALL of the electronic gadgets that were part of the room, the safe when we tried to use it would not accept our combination but we played with it and found 0000 as the reset code, no-one had used this safe/room before. To turn on the light you needed to insert your card ALL of the way into the slot, not just into the slot but as HARD as you could. We never did figure out the the AC gadget!
The bathroom whoever designed it must never had to stay in a hotel before - the sink forget it! They will be replacing the sheetgoods every month, the water just splashes everywhere. No where to place anything. The trashcan gets in the way of everything. And the shower, no shelves to place anything except on the floor and forget trying to adjust the showerhead, you need to be seven foot tall. AND no towels bars anywhere. Don't touch the switch going into the shower thinking it was the light, it's the emergency switch to the frontdesk. Yes, it does have emergency spelled out on the bottom but ...... No tissue box either.
And no clock. The space over the closet - completely useless unless you are a 10 foot tall person. Need more than 3 hangers in the closet.
Our room when we asked for a quiet room was not so quiet, 3rd floor on the street side, not quiet at all.
Breakfast buffet was decent, included in the price. But I could not see the dinner crowd showing up for this new location, somewhat out of the mainstream.
And when we came downstairs at 7 am to check out - no one at the front desk and YOU could not get out of the front door!!!!! OH, if we had an emegency. And never asked how our stay was!!
Sorry, but to many other hotels to stay at in Lisbon.
