More like Motel 6!
I am still at this property and not scheduled to depart until tomorrow. I cannot wait to leave here! How unfortunate that my company - NACE - chose to book this hotel to house us for our Board of Directors' meeting! The Homewood Suites across the street would be so much nicer. Comparing the atmosphere of this hotel with a Motel 6 would be a put-down to Motel 6! Screaming children running up and down the halls - drunks slamming doors - children banging on the grand player piano in the lobby with their mothers watching, even though there is a sign which clearly tells you not to touch (though I doubt they can read English), kids goofing off and playing around in the fitness room..full of kids and I cannot utilize the facility - the pool area...oh, my! One family camped out there with their loaf of bread, Popeye's chicken, 2 liters of soda, etc, etc...a complete picnic, while all the kids are screaming and acting like animals around the pool - none of them in bathing suits. There is also a class reunion going on here at the same time as a Mexican Jehovah's Witness Convention. I kid you not!! This is the ultimate worst hotel experience I have had in my entire life! Across the street, a beautiful new Hilton Homewood Suites barely has a vehicle in its parking lot, with a gorgeous sparkling pool with no one in it. I looked so forward to several relaxing swims during my stay. Obviously, after an entire community of trailer trash kids have been in the pool, I surely don't want that water touching MY skin, nor do I want to touch ANY of the exercise equipment after they have handled it. Steer very clear of this property. Do not be fooled by the "Crowne Plaza" title. It does not at all live up to its name. The hotel itself is nice -- the clientelle is low class.
