No wireless. Beds (at least in my room on 15th floor) was lumpy. -
Apparently there's a firehouse nearby. While I love a hot fireman the sirens will keep you up all night. Better if a fireman kept you up all night! -
Thinnest walls I've ever encountered in a hotel. Request higher level on inside to avoid hearing all happenings outside all night. You'll still hear your neighbor -
By the time you get an elevator, it's time to check out. -
Beds are tiny, so get the biggest bed possible if you plan on sharing. -
So I guess third room is not the charm... Ice maker on the 7th floor is broken and the soda machine wants $2... -
First room I checked into wasn't cleaned. Veer bottles messy beds and food crumbs all over. Second room I checked into no pressure for hot water... Sirens going off all night, third room is the charm? -
Don't come for business. The Internet is slow and there is no wireless!!! TV is fuzzy. Staff is friendly. Hotel is clean. -
Worst internet service ever. Wired or wireless, it sucks. -
Proper Hotel (Motel/Holiday Inn) Etiquette: Don't allow your children to run screaming through the halls. That is all. -
Great location. Plenty of restaurants and bars. 5 min walk to the train. -
No wireless in your room! -
Great location, walk anywhere, horrible slow internet, no wifi except in lobby, and maybe it's just because of the long weekend but I have never had so many screeching children in a hallway before -
Internet slow, TV fuzzy. But rooms are really comfortable and hotel is well located. -
Very slow internet, comfortable beds, centrally located, area is a bit dicy though. -
The Internet connectivity is indeed slow, but the wakeup calls have been reliable. -
One of the softest beds I've slept in. Also microwave available by request!! -
Internet is broken, TV is fuzzy and the toilet seat won't stay up. Oh....and valet parking is $48 daily. Avoid this place! -
I agree. There is wired Internet and it's awfully slow. -
I don't recommend this hotel for business travellers. They don't have WiFi, they forgot to make a wakeup call and the TV was broken.
Amazing staff
I have never written a review here before but I felt the need to after staying at the Marriott on Michigan Avenue this past weekend. Wow. What a wonderful place to stay. They recently remodeled the place and it looks great; very clean and comfortable. However, the best part were all of the employees. Everyone went out of there way to make sure my boyfriend and I were pleased, content, and comfortable. Each employee was extremely kind and friendly and really made us feel welcome. The food is also excellent. Top quality ingredients and all freshly prepared right there. Great breakfast buffet with a wide variety to choose from. The only bummer of the weekend was whenever we tried to go to the pool it was mobbed with kids. I recommend they have some designated time for "adult swim" each day. I understand it was a big holiday weekend and the hotel was full of vacationers, but it would have been nice to swim and relax. Nonetheless, it was wonderful!
Better than the full service Marriott
The staff of this hotel are excellent. The property is well taken care of and it is a great value. It is better than the full service Marriott just a few blocks away.
