Partner Reviews: Churchill Suites Midtown East

New York City transforms into a Wonderland during the Holiday Season!
Cheery shoppers on decorated streets; elaborate thematic window displays; celestial beauty of ice skating in Central Park and the giant Christmas tree tradition of Rockefeller Center. The ball lowering atop One Times Square, where a spectacular event heralds the advent of each New Year. Christmas and New Year in New York are a glorious mix of tradition and fanfare - a true handover of the baton by the old to the new.

Add to that a tastefully appointed Deluxe Room located in Manhattan fashionable East side, within walking distance of Times Square, Rockefeller Center and the Theater District. Minutes from the shopping at Madison and Fifth Avenues.

Staff were ok, rooms were adequate for NYC

A friend of mine came in from out of town and we decided to stay here. The hotel room was small but that's to be expected in this city. Ther...

Do not waste your money

Rating: 2

Stayed there for business. The phone line was dead at first. Then the ethernet connection was dead and wasted an hour talking to a clueless technician who did not help. Asked for another room with connection that worked and all they had was a twin bed room. The beds were cots. Room was a closet. Ceiling in bathroom was about to fall in. Front desk people were zombies and bellhops completely worthless. So many other hotels are right in that area, choose another one.

Was I in the Same Hotel???

Rating: 8

Again, I feel as if I am not as discerning as everyone else. I booked this hotel at Priceline.com for more money than I usually spend but it's Thanksgiving week-end after all. After reading other reviews, I decided to call from the train and alert the front desk to the fact that we would be arriving late...no problem but our room had 1 double bed? The person I spoke to said to ask upon check-in for a larger room. I did this and was given a larger room with a larger bed. The marble bathroom was clean and had conditioner to go with the shampoo ( a real plus with me). The location was excellent if you weren't interested in the Times Square/Theatre District....a long walk in chilly Thanksgiving weather. All in all, I would recomment this hotel and disregard people who must be always negative.

If you can get a good price, stay.

I've stayed in this hotel and found it acceptable. The room is incredibly tiny. the lobby is pleasant and the front desk staff is helpful, albeit slow. The room service representative barely spoke English. Overall though, I've certainly stayed in worse hotels. The place looked clean. That's already something.

What an awful experiance

Rating: 2

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible! From the check-in, to the room condition, to followup customer service the hotel was awful. Requested a non-somking room, upon check in was told none were available. The room I did receive had peeling paint, holes in the carpet, smelled awful, and the faucet in the shower did not work. Complained to management right away but was told nothing could be done. Requested room change was reluctantly handled. Written compaints to Raddisson have gone unanswered. Over all - Do NOT stay in this hotel.

This hotel is SUSPECT!

Rating: 2

This was the worst stay I have ever had in NYC. Although I had a reservation, they didn't have the room I requested. Moved me to a smoking room, where you can see the smoke in the air. Later got moved to a non smoking room, with the smell of wet paint on the whole floor. The rooms were ridiculously tiny, even in NYC. Cracks in ceiling, peeling wallpaper, desk drawer broken, small bed, improper sheets for bed. The cleaning lady didn't even know if the room was clean or not. No one at the front desk answers the phone. Go to the Hilton next time.

NIce Stay & Safe Area

Rating: 9

After reading some of the reviews on here I was nervous about my stay. No need! I stayed with my daughter & we requested the twin beds. Room was small, but not soo small. Very cute, high ceilings,& clean. The bathroom was clean,no musty smell. No view out the window but I wasn't there for that. Staff was very helpful. Checked our bags early,no mention of not being responsible,we had tags. Places to eat near by & a great neighborhood.Have stayed at some other places in the city & I really liked this one

Great For Business

Rating: 7

This hotel is centrally located. While the room was very small (very small), it was perfect for what I needed. The cute marble bathroom was a nice touch.

Wouldn't go back.

Tiny room, tinier beds. Cramped, moldy smelling bathroom. Shabby looking doors and lots of overlooked areas that should have been cleaner. Snooty staff. No way to prevent light from entering room with the silly little shades.
