We went home still hungry

Rating: 2

The main dining room offers exceptional white table cloth service overlooking Chatham harbor. The food, what there was of it, was good. However, due to the meager portion sizes I would rate the Inn a poor dining value and would not go back again. I fail to understand why some very upscale, and expensive, venues fail to comprehend when you're charging $30+ for an entree your customer should not go home hungry. This is not the first time I've encountered a white plate with the food barely covering half the plate. Despite sitting in the main dining roon at the Inn I thought we had ordered off a tapas menu. You'd think even if the chef was going to economize by offering a very small portion of the entree, the piece of swordfish couldn't have been more than 5-6 oz, he/she could have compensated by putting more than 4 spoonfuls of mash potatoes under it. Dinner for two, two drinks, no appetizers or salad, was $100 including tip. Leaving hungry, on the way home we stopped to get some more to eat - no kidding.

What for Summer Staff

Rating: 4

The food was great the service was almost as good as MacDonalds. We have gone to the ChathamBars for years and this is the first time off season visit. I swear the waitress was chewing gum while she was waiting on us. I will not go back even if the price was far. What ever happen to the salad and the sorbet. The wine didn't even have a drip collar and you had to serve it yourself. How would you like to get the cork half way through the meal. This place may be tops internationally but I am affard to stay anywhere noted after this visit.

New England's Best Kept Secret

Rating: 10

From the bellman to the grounds staff. Everybody was pleasant and kind. A walk on the beach, a day at the spa and then dinner at the Chef's Table is just what my husband and I needed. We were both able to take a deep breath for the first time in a long time. A time we will truly never forget.
