HORRIBLE customer service
this stay was a terrible experience. will never go back. when management is presented with complaints, they argue with the customer. this staff could use a hard core crash course in customer service. take some lessons from the big boys, they do it right. i.e. hotel jerome, little nell. and watch your wallets, they will rob you blind! make sure you look over that checkout statement, they like to tack on for things you didn't request OR receive. couldn't have been more disappointed.
Thin walls, cramped rooms, Ramada Inn type of room with cheesy passe modern furnishings.
Yuck. Folks this is not up to Aspen level. It's worn down! That's the best way to describe these over-priced rooms. There are two buildings and god help you if you get stuck in a room near the pool. That's the part of the property that is a hotel from the 1950s or 1960s, motel style. They put in animal print carpet years ago that has since accumulated filth over the years and needs replacing. They painted and looks like the paint crew got a case of beer drank it then slapped the paint on the walls over dead 6 legged creatures, dirt, even were the carpet meets the walls...you get the idea. Then there is the issue of the small rooms with way too much furniture. I felt like I was in a prison cell. Window A/C unit drove me nuts! I got up repeatedly in the middle of the night to make adjustments and slam my fist on it to stop the rattle. Yes Aspen can be hot in the summer. The bathroom about what you would expect from a old mom and pop motel. Faucet needs repair, tub was calked by a rookie, and it's all severely worn. Light is poor, they have a coffee maker in the bathroom and they skimp on towels. The hotel seems to draw large groups of young Euros. The pool area was full of them. Nothing wrong with that, they are pretty to look at, but wait until you wuld like some sleep and they are stomping down the hall after cocktail hour laughing and slamming doors. I think the reason the hotel gets some reasonable reviews is because it's peole with the lowest possible expectations. If you go to London then Aspen, your judgement is skewed. Even for London the rooms and bathrooms are undersized at the sky. I've stayed here several times and this will be my last. The other hotels were sold out. Last word...Has anyone every stayed at the Sky and not had them try to rip you off on your bill for items you DID NOT remove from the mini bar??????? It's their little game. CONTEST THOSE CHARGES!
