Very satisfied, what a nice surprise in the heart of San Francisco.

The stay started out a bit rocky because of a less expensive room, they are not so great. We upgraded to a premier double room and what a difference. It was like staying in a different hotel. The beds, sheets and towels are so much nicer. The room was 3 times the size and I swear the glass was thicker to drown out the street noise. We even had a lovely view of the bay. The staff is excellent; ask for Sean, one of the managers, he really took care of us. The breakfast buffet is very nice for the $. Nice business office for internet use. Try and stay on the 8th floor it is worth the extra cost for a much better nights sleep :)

good value for the $$

I also had difficulty finding info about the hotel. I found a great deal for 2 nights online. I even called to find out if they have private bathrooms. (Yes they do). We were a bit concerned when we pulled up as it is a older appearing hotel. But we were not disappointed, check in was a breeze, rooms were clean, well equipment and had a nice view. Since the hotel is on VanNess (busy street) you can hear the traffic below. Guess you get use to it. The location was great, close to Ruth Chris & HRC & many other places to eat in the area. It was an easy ride on bus line 49 from the wharf back to the hotel. It's walking distance to the cable cars. Hotel staff was great & very helpful with shuttles, bagage & tour info. We will definitely stay there again.
