Good experience
I spent a weekend bumming around Texas. I made it as far as El Paso the first night. The Mexican influence is quite obvious. For nightlife you have Cincinnati St and Lee Trevino Blvd. Both are at opposite ends of the city. I'm sure you can find a hotel cheaper in the general area but the next time I stay in El Paso it'll be here. Old hotel done up very nicely. You feel as if you stepped back into the 1930's. Live Jazz singers in the dining area during the week. Room was recently renovated, but still has the old charm. Overall a cool place
Spacious rooms
After checking into our first room at this hotel, we asked the front desk for a different room with more natural light. They couldn't have been nicer about this and moved us to a corner room on a higher floor with tons of light. I wouldn't recommend the food at the bar though. I thought it was overpriced and average. The drinks were good...just didn't get many good reviews from friends on any of their meals.
