Gianni Versace's Mediterranea mansion where he was tragically murdered in 1997. It turned into a private club in 2000 with a few hotel rooms for very, very VIP people. But in December 2009, the hotel was blindsided by an investor with ties to a ponzi scheme. Yet the plans are to reopen the place as a hotel/restaurant/private event space helmed by events planner Barton G. The building will also be rechristened, The Villa by Barton G.
