Look for the bins with the white mud for a cleansing face mask -
If it's sunny, bring your shades. The milky water does a really good job reflecting the sun. -
Don't buy the bottled water, they have free pitchers in the cafe -
Do not wet your hair in the lagoon! -
Go to the centre of pool.warm currents. Dont bring towel...leave it in blue lagoon lockers -
If you are a couple on holiday, consider renting a private "cell", where you have your own private and secure changing &shower facilities and complimentary facial treatements and light refreshments. -
If you go to the Blue Lagoon without your girlfriend, you'll miss her. Also: Great People Watching! -
You can pay with your wristband at the bar outside - it's smart! -
Definitely get here when it opens or you'll be swimming with many people. -
Remember to leave in plenty of conditioner BEFORE entering the lagoon... otherwise a lot of bad hairdays will follow! Besides, it's free inside the locker room. -
get the salt scrub spa treatment... totally worth it! -
Get here as soon as it opens. Bonus for doing so in the winter, as you can watch the sun rise while you're in the water. Beautiful! -
It's like the wild west for towels on the hangars but leave your robe inside until you need it. Taking pics in your trunks is chilly! -
Scoop the mud directly from the well not from the bucket. It's richer and thicker.

If your skin feels a little dry after being in the water for a long time with Silica mud on, go into the spa shop afterwards and use their moisturizer testers for free. -
The sandwiches at the cafe are a rip. -
Come early - at 10am it's peaceful in the week. By 12 it's really busy. 1 hour in the water is plenty. Iceland Excursions can trusted to transfer your luggage to the airport but there are lockers too. -
Put a lot of silicate gel while you're in the bath where it's free. A small pot is worth 82 euros at the shop outside... -
Bring towels and robes from your hotel to save you renting them here. -
i use toner and moisturizing cream sold here. they keep my skin smooth. -
