We arrived at the hotel to find other customers already waiting to be booked in. No staff were in sight and we all stood around waiting for at least 15-20 minutes. One of the other customers had been pressing the bell but no-one had appeared so I called the office number and someone finally appeared.

After finally being served I was given the key to my room only to find that it was nothing like had been advertised. We had booked a room that was supposedly a family deluxe room which was meant to have a double bed, 2 "bunk beds" and a kitchenette. What we were given was a tiny room with a double bed ONE bunk bed and a plug in stove top on top of a cupboard.

After returning to the office and approaching the staff member about the room we were told that we were incorrect and that the room was as advertised. I asked to speak to the manager as I wanted to cancel our booking and find somewhere else that was suitable for my family for 10 days but "conveniently" they werent available until tomorrow.

As I had already paid for the booking in full & had no choice but to stay the night we were given a fold up trundle bed & a cot to make up for the lack of other beds we needed. Where exactly both of these were meant to fit was beyond me! The floors were filthy and we all had dirty black feet. To top it off the aircon in the room was noisy and barely worked which wasn't very pleasant in a north Queensland summer.

I must add to this review that for work I travel and 3 weeks out of every month I stay in hotels all over Queensland with ratings from 4 to 5 stars and this is the worst experience I have ever had. Apart from false advertising the staff were completely rude and unprofessional. I just wish that I had read some reviews before I booked as there is no way that we will ever stay here again!!!!!!!!
