A Pleasant Stay

Rating: 8

My husband and I tried the Apple Farm on a recommendation. We stayed at the Inn. Our room was large and romantically set. With the windows open at night we heard the frogs croaking in the nearby stream. The Inn and its surroundings seem like a little village: a couple of gift shops, a millhouse, nice little pool and jacuzzi, motel area, and large bakery/restaurant. We also had wonderful massages at the spa (reasonably priced!!). The surroundings are lush and green and the landscaping is charming. The less-than-perfect parts: restaurant is pretty mediocre for the price, though it's part of the experience. Kids were running around the Inn at night. The conclusion? We agreed we'd stay there again, but would probably skip eating there.

Romantic Getaway

Rating: 8

The Apple Farm Inn is a great place to go for a romantic weekend. The rooms are all decorated in different Victorian/Country styles. There is a horse and carriage available to take you on a romantic tour of the area. The onsite restaurant/gift shop is great! There is also a building with a water driven paddle wheel. Here they make ice cream and other delicious items. Highly recommended!

Nice Place to Stay

Rating: 8

The Apple Farm Inn has the feel of a Bed and Breakfast, but with 69 rooms, a major restaurant, a pool and other amenties, it's more of a comfortable hotel sort of atmosphere. We saw lots of families, a few newlyweds, and couples of all ages. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant, as the service was horribly slow, and the food was just OK, but the Inn itself is terrific. Comfotable rooms (exept the pillows), and a very relaxing environment. Definitely look for special offers online, or ask when you call, as the standard room rates are a bit steep.

Smells like cinnamon...

This cute, country restaurant serves up all American dishes. Some of my favorites are their homemade soups, especially the corn chowder, and they have a nice salad bar that is available for both lunch and dinner. Breakfast is also a treat and don't forget to save room for dessert, hot apple dumplings, homemade pies, Apple Brown Betty, cobblers and much more. You should definitely make reservations but if you do stop by and the wait is long you will certainly find lots to occupy your time. The restaurant is part of the gift shop where you will find quality gifts, including Apple Farm food products.
