I remember going to the Hotel@MIT (now the Le Meridien Cambridge) and being really disappointed that the robots in the lobby weren't moving around and talking, helping me with my bags and offering me a refreshing beverage.  Instead, they are just boring old lab prototypes that don't do anything cool.
