Swiss Chalet Style

Hotel Schoenegg is a 37 room chalet hotel run by Olympic skier René Berthod, with a friendly staff and kick ass views--and you know we are suckers for a kick ass view.

Views of the Matterhorn, short walk to the town of Wengen, and like Enterprise, "they pick you up"--in an electric car, how Swiss.

We were picked up at the train station by one of the staff in the electric cars that are used in the town of Zermatt. We drove up to a gate which then opened into a tunnel into the side of a hill and then parked. The elevator took us to a lovely Swiss Chalet style hotel. It was kind of romantic and special to arrive this way.
