Booze in Washington you say? D.C.'s trendy Hotel Helix will stock suites with martinis and mistletoe this holiday season.

Ah, Christmas in the capital. A time of terror alerts, skyrocketing homeheating costs, and even more political gift taking on Capitol Hill. And where can the brightest and the best check in during the holidays to start some new rumors?

The Hotel Helix, part of the Kimpton chain, is offering a "Martinis & Mistletoe" package wherein, for $169 a night in deluxe guest rooms, from December 1-31, guests will be treated to a keepsake, do-it-yourself martini kit (including vodka, vermouth, the olives, and two martini glasses bearing the Helix logo), a white feather boa, and a sprig of mistletoe hung above the guestroom door.

Note to Ted Kennedy: Stay away from both the martinis and, more importantly, the white feather boa. Pls. Thx.

The rate boosts to $269 for a Helix Suite- those rainbow "That 70's..." playrooms with their round, red ottomans, circular porthole mirrors, casbah curtains, and Wega screen t.v.'s.

Oh and both politicos and Jessica Cutler should know that the "Doggystyle Package" is for pets, so just stick with the martini package.
