Hotel Indigo Chicago Giving Guests $25 Target and Best Buy Gift Cards

Hotels are still piling on incentives for guests in the midst of the economic downturn and the latest hotel to "Escape the Economy" woes is the Hotel Indigo Chicago-Vernon Hills which is offering guests $25 gift cards to either Target or Best Buy. From the press release:

With its new Economic Stimulus rate, guests booking a stay at the hotel from now through the end of the year will receive an "intriguing" rate along with a $25 Target or Best Buy(R) gift card.

These intriguing rates are part of the Economic Stimulus Package on the hotel's website which start at around $104 a night. The deal is actually good through the end of January with the only blackout date being New Years Eve.

However, if you care more about spending less on your hotel stay than receiving a gift card, you may just want to book a regular room rate. We found one for Dec. 5-7th at $89 a night. You can even knock that down to $80 if you do an advance purchase rate.

It's your choice--cheaper hotel room or the chance to raid the $1 bin at Target with a gift card. Both sound good to us.
