V-Day is now less than a week away and if you've planned on doing a romantical weekend in Vancouver with your honey but are clueless on everything else, then you should probably book a room at the OPUS Hotel where there's now a Cupid Concierge on staff. The cupid concierge even has their own email! (Cupid@OpusHotel.com)

This specialty concierge of love is a part of the hotel's Exclusively Yours romance package which has the standard love weekend amenities of bubbly at check-in, more bubbly in the guestroom, fresh flowers, breakfast in bed and a late check-out. The concierge will also set up a framed photo of you and your lovah along with a love note when you arrive in the room.

If you need help planning something a little more extravagant, the Cupid Concierge is the one to call whether it's to arrange a romantic experience about town, craft a handwritten love sonnet or plan a gourmet picnic with wine selected by a private sommelier.

The package starts at $295 a night (not including any costs associated with other romantic activities) and is available throughout the rest of the year. So any day can be V-Day at the Opus Vancouver.

What Does a Non-Starwood St. Regis Have To Offer?

A St. Regis for around $200* a night? Yes, it's possible—in Canada! Of course, that room rate should be the first thing to tip you off that the St. Regis Vancouver is not actually a St. Regis of the Starwood variety.

As we found on a recent trip north, the St. Regis Vancouver is a charming boutique hotel with historic bones, a fantastic downtown location perfect for business travelers and tourists alike--and a ton of added extras that we bet you won't find at your local posh version of a St. Regis.

If you're wondering what a Non-St.Regis St. Regis looks like, just click through our gallery for a peek at what the Vancouver indie has to offer.

Still Wanna Have 'Downtown Fun' in Vancouver?

Boy, we knew Canadians liked their hockey but we didn't think that they would riot after losing the Stanley Cup Finals to the Boston Bruins. Like, full-on rioting too. Not just yelling and kicking tires and throwing the occasional Molson Ice bottle but flipping over vehicles, harassing the police and lighting fires throughout downtown.

Which makes this press release from the Renaissance Vancouver Harborside all the more unfortunate. The release hit the wires before the Canucks lost the final game with the headline, "Stay an Extra Night for Downtown Fun With Hotel Deals in Vancouver". Downtown fun, indeed! Oh we has a sad face for the Renaissance.

That said, clean-up efforts are underway in Vancouver and the area should return to normal pretty soon which means you can totally take advantage of the hotel's offer of a third night free when you stay two consecutive nights. Rates start at $390 CAD a night.

The Hotel Indigo Vancouver is such a tease. First, it was going to open May 6, then it was pushed to June 15. Now it looks like we won't get any hotel action until Christmastime: The hotel is accepting reservations after December 6.

We're Hotel Indigo fans—we named Hotel Indigo No. 1 for best WiFi in our 2011 HotelChatter Annual WiFi Report—so we are happy the brand is expanding. We're looking forward to having a free-wifi option in Vancouver.

This Might Be the Sweetest Gift We've Gotten from an Airport Hotel

Where: Vancouver, BC, Canada

Way back in 2008, Fairmont Hotels began placing beehives on the rooftops of its hotels to produce honey which were then used by the hotel in desserts, teas, salad dressings and even cocktails. And now, the Fairmont Honey is yours to take home.

The Fairmont Vancouver Airport is selling a 500 gram bottle of "liquid gold" aka Canada #1 Amber honey for $16.99CDN both in the hotel's gift shop and at a few stores in the Vancouver Airport. The honey is made by over a million bees that reside nearby the hotel as McDonald Beach Park and according to the Fairmont folks, its taste has a hint of cinnamon and apple.

Just be sure to wrap your honey jars carefully before sticking them into your suitcase as items will get sticky during the flight.

When we compiled the mother-of-all-hotel-openings list, the Hotel Indigo Vancouver was set to debut May 6. But looks like the hotel's opening has been pushed back, since reservations are only being accepted for June 15 and beyond.

In the meantime, let's dish on what we can expect when the former Plaza 500 Hotel reopens its doors. The downtown hotel's 153 contemporary rooms will have hardwood floors and the chain's trademark oversized photo murals on its walls. Less than a mile from Olympic Village, the 14-story hotel will offer views of the city and surrounding coastal mountains. Inside the room, you'll find perks like free WiFi and a 42-inch LCD television.

It's about to get bloody in Vancouver. The cast of Breaking Dawn just arrived in the Canadian city to start filming, and their Twilighter fans are sure to follow. Of course you're wondering where on-screen and off-screen couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are shacking up.

Looks like the pair is making the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre their vampire love lair. The Twilight lovers will stay there for the next month, according to Hollywood Life.

Hotels are getting in a holiday mood! Usually around this time, we spotlight all the delicious holiday cocktails that hotels concoct for the season. Don't worry, we're not giving up the booze, but we are keeping tabs on all the wonderful, wild, and in some cases, weird Holiday Hotel Decorations that hotels put up this year. Seen some great holiday decor in a hotel recently? Send us a snapshot!

The wonderful, wild and weird edible hotel holiday decorations continue! Last week, we took a look at the crazy life-sized Chocolate Santa in Orlando and today we visit our neighbors up north at the Fairmont Vancouver who have assembled a Candy Castle in their hotel lobby.

Ok, so it's not a castle you can sleep in or anything. And really, it's just an archway into the lobby space but it is decorated entirely in red, white and green Christmas candy. (And like Chocolate Santa, you can look but not touch.)

Vancouver's OPUS Hotel to Get a Pop-Up Restaurant

We've heard of hotels opening pop-up shops and pop-up spas and even pop-up hotels themselves but this is definitely the first we've ever heard for a pop-up hotel restaurant. And that's just what the OPUS Vancouver Hotel will be installing later this week after shutting down their fine dining restaurant, Elixir Bistro, this past Saturday.

In place of Elixir will be a pop-up restaurant called 100 Days, so-called because it will be open for 100 days.

The new inhabitants of 1OO Days will be stripping the space back to its raw industrial bare bones. The menu style will offer affordable plates with a food quality parallel to that of Elixir.

The Fairmont Pacific Rim Bathrooms Have a Medal-Winning Killer View

The Winter Olympics may be over, but let's not forget about Vancouver. After seeing this photo taken from a bathroom at the new Fairmont Pacific Rim, we're ready to hightail it up to Canada just to plunk ourselves down in this tub.

The hotel hosted numerous Olympic athletes and other VIPs last month, and opened to the public on March 1st. So far it seems to be getting great reviews, and we can see why. Apparently most of the 377 rooms have similar views of the harbor and North Shore Mountains. (Not all rooms have the 'deep soaker jetted tubs', though, so make sure to request it if you want to replicate what you see here.)

The Poetic Writing's On the Wall at the Fairmont Pacific Rim

Fairmont Pacific Rim made the news at the start of the 2010 Winter Olympics for its anti-bottled water stance but the brand-new hotel is also making an impact from street level. That's because its entire exterior is covered in two-foot high stainless steel letters (in Helvetica bold font) that repeat the text:

lyingontopofabuildingthecloudslookednonearerthanwhenIwaslyingonthestreet...

(If you can read nonsensical Twitter hashtags then we think you can figure this one out.)

Where to Spot the Stars in the Last Days of the Winter Olympics

Where: Vancouver, BC, Canada

The lobby of Shangri-La Vancouver.

There’s only four more days until the Closing Ceremonies in Vancouver, so that’s four more days of celebrity scoping to do in the city’s finest hotels. Movie celebs are common sights up in “Hollywood North,” but the Games seem to have brought even more out of the woodwork. Here are the best places to find them sucking up to Shaun White and co. ...

Cindy Crawford was spotted pow-wowing with Wayne Gretsky’s “people” at the Shangri-La Vancouver one night, at the hotel’s Market restaurant, to be precise. Its star chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten has also been in town cooking and mingling (although he’s probably back in NYC now, showing off his new joint at The Mark.)
