Blogger Marty Michaels weighs in with her top 10 hotels of all time list.

Her criteria? Architecturally interesting, high-quality design, great service, hip, or dignified, but not over the top, and $300 or less per night.

She prides herself on unearthing hotel gems long before Travel & Leisure or CNT get hip to a property. Sounds like our kinda girl.

La Sacristia, in Tarifia Spain, is her number one choice. (Spanish speaking countries dominate her list).
