For those of you who always wondered what happened to the Von Trapp family after that long hike over the Alps, the answer lies in Stowe, VT.

It appears the family sang themselves to America, bought a farm, sang about it, and their descendants turned it into the Von Trapp Family Lodge.

Stowe's hills are certainly alive with the sound of music, and noisy bratty kids too. A HotelChatter tipster tells us that it's hard to find a quiet spot as every room seems to be occupied with 2-3 kids.

Room walls are thin, so when you are in bed trying to think of your favorite things-- like raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens-- you might hear your neighbors kids bouncing on beds, and shrieking like feral cats.

A hotel employee-- probably sixteen going on seventeen-- may offer you a tour of the spa facilities-- explaining rather embarrassed that the plaster and exposed wiring will soon be turned into an up-market spa. We hear, unless you are a carpenter, there isn't much to see.

Ok, maybe we took this Sound of Music thing a little far, and as always, remember the above info was garnered from one tipsters opinion.
