Davenport Tower Hotel: Not Just for Gay Sex Scandals

The Davenport Tower Hotel was the unlikely site of a gay sex scandal involving Republican state representative, Richard Curtis.
[Curtis] went to the Hollywood Erotic Boutique early on Oct. 26 and met [Cody] Castagna, who accompanied him to the hotel, police documents said.
The two arrived at the hotel around 3:30 a.m. and had sex, after which Curtis fell asleep, according to documents released Tuesday.
Curtis alleged Castagna took his wallet and later offered to return it for $1,000 (€692). Curtis said he only had $200 (€138) and left an envelope with the money at the hotel desk, the documents said.
Blah blah blah extortion, police, resignation, blah blah blah. Seriously, these political sex scandals are so boring these days. People should just know that their politicians aren't as wholesome as their campaign says. They're in politics for crissakes.
But most normal hotel guests that hit up the Davenport don't go for extortion scandals. The hotel is a very swank historic four-diamond hotel that has made the Conde Nast Gold list, the Historic Hotels of America and is a top 10 hotel on Expedia. TripAdvisor reviews are also gushing over this place.
Even better since this is Spokane and not DC, you can get the Tower honeymoon suite for just $599 a night. Heh. And regular room rates start at $235.
