Prep Your Poof for Memorial Day Weekend in Seaside Heights, 'Jersey Shore'-Style

May 6, 2011 at 10:49 AM | by | Comments (0)

The Jersey Shore gang may be distracted with its various spin-offs, including what sounds to be a Laverne & Shirley wanna-be show with JWow and Snooki, another one that follows Pauly D's DJ career and now a show focusing on the Situation. But you can still get your fill of Seaside Heights hijinks with CheapOAir's Memorial Day hotel packages.

You can GTL in Seaside with a vacation deal at the Grenville Hotel starting at $111 a night. Or you can head to Asbury Park, New Jersey, to party at the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel starting at $136.

Oh, if only those hotel walls could talk ... but they can't. Fortunately, you can!

We want to hear all of your scandalous Hotel Room Confessions. From the racy to the incriminating to the sorta-nasty, if it happened in a hotel room, we wanna know about it. Anonymity is assured and you don't even have to list the hotel's name unless you want to, but please do try to set the scene by including a location and maybe some details on the room.

We're back again with another installment of Hotel Room Confessions, where we cleanse your guilty soul by airing out your dirty laundry on the Internet (we're so good to you). This particular tale comes from a reader who, like many of us, had a very, very special prom night in a hotel room — but not quite the way you're thinking.

You have to admit, Magna did a decent job fixing up the dilapidated Sea Garden Motel. Team leader Michael took the boutique hotelier approach of focusing on physical design, and marketing wonk Danny added a social pool "scene" that would have made Andre Balazs proud.

So what is the lesson here? A Jersey Shore hotel room is what it is--you aren't checking into the Four Seasons here. However, with a little manual labor and a decent plan, Magna was able to turn the Sea Garden into an experience, which hotel guests usually appreciate.

The Sea Garden is a block from the beach, and when the Apprentice cast and crew isn't mucking up the works, a free breakfast comes with.

Street Smarts Tackles Surfside Motel

One of the most famous hotelier's in the world, Donald Trump, thrust a couple of scuzzy Jersey Shore motels on the Apprentice contestants last night.

The first was the Surfside Motel, where Net Worth was given $20,000 to put a 24 hour spit shine on a grotty motel. To us it seemed like the team spent the entire time fighting, aside from the guy who looks like Vince Vaughn in a fat suit, who worked like a dog. What is his name? John? In any event about the only benefit the Surfside Motel got out of this deal was 14 brand new toilets, that the property didn't really need.

Surfside guests aired their grievances on Yahoo! Local, yes apparently HotelChatter couldn't pony up the millions in product placement dollars, and in the end, the Net Worth Surfside didn't fare so well on service.

We are sure the real Surfside Motel experience comes with much better customer service, but we have to admit, the odds of hearing some Jersey yahoo screaming at someone outside your motel room while staying on the Shore, are fairly high, even without that Brian character in the picture.
