Sweet Smelling Indian Boutique Hotel

India's hotel scene is as confusing as the traffic flow. Thus, when we hear about a boutique bungalow hotel with a solid marble sink fed by the hotel's own spring water, we just have to share.
This 13 room Glasshouse on the Ganges is literally a few feet from the Ganges, but definitely off the beaten path--meaning this part of the Ganges is actually quite clean with fast moving rapids which actually allow for whitewater rafting (view photo above). Yoga lessons, massages, facials, good food, all can be found on the hotel grounds, along with plenty of privacy, including a private beach.
Oh, and one more important point--this hotel is surrounded by frangipani trees so it actually smells good. Don't laugh, sweet smelling air is far from a given in India.
Yes, in many ways the Glasshouse is not your "traditional" Indian hotel, but sometimes it is good to have a bit of an oasis in your back pocket, just in case you need it.
