Buffalo Thunder: A New New Mexico Resort From Hilton

In fall 2008, Buffalo Thunder Resort will open near Santa Fe, N.M. The 587-acre site, where golfers once played on the Towa Golf Course, is now a mess of cranes, steel, and tilled earth, with men in hardhats milling around. Construction just began on the complex, which will include a 390-room hotel called the Hilton Santa Fe North, a luxury spa and fitness facility, several restaurants, entertainment venues, meeting space, and a casino.
The Pueblo of Pojoaque tribe, through the Buffalo Thunder Development Authority, owns the resort but interestingly, the hotel and resort will be managed by the Hilton Hotels Corp.
