Jersey Girls are Halfway to the Hamptons

Tommy and Gina, rejoice! Forget the Jersey Shore--you can stay in Long Island "near" the beaches! It's like the Hamptons, but better!

The very first Four Points by Sheraton hotel on Long Island has opened.

A moderately-priced brand of Sheraton, the Four Points by Sheraton Plainview is a new 103-room hotel located just off the LIE and near Jones Beach, Robert Moses State Park and Fire Island National Seashore.

"[T]he hotel's close proximity to the spectacular Long Island beaches makes it an attractive stop for vacation- goers and weekend travelers as well," said a Sheraton exec.

Amenities include complimentary high-speed Internet access in all guest rooms, Jacuzzi Suites, a fitness center, 24-hour business center, and an outdoor swimming pool.

But most importantly, the hotel is "close to Nassau County's major retail centers and malls including Roosevelt Field, Walt Whitman Mall, and Tanger Outlets."
