This is one of the oddest deals we have ever come across. When you stay at the Costanoa Lodge in California during a full moon, you room rate is half price.

Maybe they just really like werewolfs, but we are pretty sure the deal is just another part of the eco adventure resort's plan to get you in touch again with Mother Nature.

Recently featured on the Travel Channel's Great Hotels show, the hotel is located off Highway 1 (55 miles south of San Francisco), and sits in-between four state parks, is surrounded by 30,000 acres of untouched wilderness and overlooks a rugged coast-line.

This is a place that says no to TV and yes to yoga. The resort offers many "granola" activities like: guided kayak whale-watching tours, guided bike tours, live bat presentations, and lectures on nature related themes (like the local ecology, Tsunamis, and natural history).

But since the hotel combines eco-friendly with luxury, you can seek comfort in the hotel spa when the day's done. Even better, you won't be totally cut off from the world, as the whole property receives WiFi access (even hippies have e-mail!)

As for lodging you can choose between traditional rooms, Douglas Fir Cabins, Tent Bungalows which have all the regular room amenities but with canvas walls or you can always BYO tent.

Next full moon is May 14th--sounds like a deal.
