The Langham Place Pazhou Will Have You Working And Playing In Its Space Age Building

Is it something out of Total Recall? No, it’s the Langham Place, Pazhou

Langham must be feeling plush this week – they’ve just announced the opening of another hotel in China. This time the lucky recipient province is Guangzhou, and the Langham Place, Pazhou (which looks a bit like a space ship) will be the only hotel connected to the Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center (it’ll be linked by an air conditioned – hallelujah - walkway).

So yeah, it’s not exactly a leisure destination, but it sounds good for business – they’re promising “exceptionally large meeting spaces” with the Great Room coming in at 3,000 sq m.

As for the rooms (of which there will be 488), they’re being designed by Yabu Pushelberg, whose work looks pretty funky from the looks of the website, so we’re thinking they’ll be good. Facilities-wise, there will be a restaurant spread over two floors, cigar room, traditional Chinese spa and a lounge bar that’s designed for both “work and play” (ooh err).
