Lock up you daughters NoCal, here comes NASCAR Nation. The car crew is invading Sonoma County hotels this week in preparation for the Dodge/SaveMart 350 NASCAR race at the Infineon Raceway. That's right, they ain't there for the wine.

The race, which takes place this weekend, brings in a ''tidal wave of race fans, drivers, team crews, mechanics and a bevy of related personnel" to hotels in the city of Marin, near the raceway.

A general manager of the Inn Marin in Novato told the Marin Independent Journal:

"It is absolutely the busiest weekend in the county market, hands down, until someone tells me otherwise."

Steve Page, Infineon Raceway president and general manager told the paper that, "for the four or five days next weekend, you will not find an empty (hotel) room in Marin County.

What a dichotomy. Marin softies and the NASCAR crew...ah to be a fly on the wall at a hotel in NoCal this weekend.
