Avoid Your In-Laws this Holiday at the Hotel Indigo Near Boston
If the prospect of spending the holidays with the in-laws fills you with fear instead of good cheer, join the club. According to a 2008 survey, the Hotel Indigo found that 97 percent of Americans would rather stay in a hotel than with their spouse's 'rents.
This season you can get a break from your grating family at Hotel Indigo Boston-Newton Riverside with its appropriately named Escape the In-Laws package.

Imagine All The People Who Will Check Out the John Lennon Art Show at Hotel Indigo

Looks like the Hotel Indigo chain is making good on its promise to always have interesting art in its hotels.
The Boston Traveler reports that the Hotel Indigo in the Newton 'nabe will display some of John Lennon's artwork at the hotel this weekend as part of a two-day art exhibit called, "Power to the People."
Billed as "a look into John's life through his artwork," the event will feature the largest collection of Lennon's art on paper from the years 1968 to 1980, including limited-edition prints and song lyrics, that express Lennon's stance on peace, hope, and love.
The exhibit takes place June 28-29 from 11am to 6pm. The cost is just $2.00 at the door, which benefits the Boys and Girls Club of Boston.

Fugly Sheraton Hotels
Where: 320 Washington Street, Mass Pike (Interstate 90) at Exit 17 [map], Newton, MA, United States, 02458

Our fearless and roadtrip lover Jaunted editor Davie was once again trolling up and down the East Coast (in a good way we mean) and spied this fugly hotel on her way. Here's what she says:
I was driving up the Mass Turnpike this weekend and as I was approaching this monstrosity, I was taken aback by its sheer fugliness. At first, I couldn't tell what it was. Abandoned prison? Decrepit animal hospital imported whole from Moldova?
Then, I thought to myself, I bet it's an old, neglected Sheraton in Newton. And I guessed right. The building is so unattractive. I was poking around online today and decided to see if the TripAdvisor reviews would reflect what I suspected about the place.
Sho'nuff, they are mostly notsogood. I would take the exterior of the Westin Times Square over this one any day.
Picture of another fugly Sheraton after the jump.
