Everyone knows about 12" of Snow, but 41" of snow in one month is making us in the Northeast a tad schizo. Maybe it is time to get out and enjoy the winter wonderland. Could V-day weekend be the time to embark on a Vermont based winter escape?

The Four Columns Inn epitomizes Vermont in the winter--desolate, boring, and white. We kid because we love. We meant to say, winter in New England is beautiful, romantic, and tranquil. The inn will bring you champagne and chocolate, for a small price, and if you bring your board, you should be able to get a little riding in. What else could you want?

Room #5 (pictured above) is currently available Friday night February 11 for $300. Not cheap, however, you can offset the $300 night by switching to a $175 standard room for the other two nights of your stay (Feb 12 & 13).

Back to room #5, this "fireplace" suite has a fireplace, of course--it is gas so you don't have to light this puppy yourself, his and her sinks, a brand new spa bath tub, and a king size bed. Internet access is also included, but any asshole who brings his/her laptop to a V-day party for two is not welcome in this romantic setting. Though that is our rule, not the Inn's

Oh, and you might as well leave your Pomeranian puppy in the city as well.
