While downtown Chicago is having fun with all their under development, it's nice to know that someone remembered the suburbs. In Naperville, a popular and large city just southwest of Chicago's limits, the newly soft-opened 144-room Hotel Arista finally offers a luxury option for those wishing to toggle between downtown and the outlets of the suburbs.

The Hotel Arista will be welcoming green gurus in addition to the usual shopping families and traveling businesspeople, as the hotel expects LEED certification for using 30% less water and 21% less energy than a typical property, while implementing a recycling program and cleanings with only chemical-free products. On top of the eco-chic, they're rolling out some features that smack of boutique hotels, such as a pillow menu, a scented "living room" lobby, and a "nosh box" instead of mini-bar, which will be stocked with local and organic food items.
