Chapter Hotels Kicks Off Their First Chapter, The Montpellier

Some more news on the UK hotel front...that doesn't involve London.

The UK hotel brand, Chapter Hotels just opened their very first hotel on Monday in the small English town of Cheltenham. The hotel is located on the old site of the Grade II listed Hotel Kandinsk. The renovation took just over two years to complete and the spot is now known as The Montpellier Chapter Hotel.

But first, a little more background on Chapter.

Chapter has been created by Swire, the same people behind the Upper House and East in Hong Kong and The Opposite House in Beijing. The website says Chapter hotels are "locally inspired, in the heart of great English Towns." The Montepellier has been designed with this in mind keeping a lot of its original Victorian features whilst using locally produced bespoke furniture and materials.
