Meadview Travel Guide
Living in Los Angeles, it's easy to forget that people can live without cellphones, blackberries, leased BMWs, and plastic surgery. Somewhere in America, a laid-back, old-fashioned existence is the norm and we want to taste it, just for a little bit.
Which is why this time we are escaping from L.A. to Arizona and the Grand Canyon Ranch set on the Western entrance to the canyon.
Now, the lodgings are not luxurious. We are trying to break away from Frette sheets, Hermes Amenities and plasma TVs. So log cabins range from $169 to $249 depending on occupancy and for $89 you get a large tipi. No joke! As tempting as the tipi sounds, we'll take the cabin.
More on our Escape after the jump.
