Aerie's Cooking Deal

The name of the Aerie Resort's package doesn't quite fit the description, but a deal's a deal. The Island Foraging Trail package makes us think of a hike through the woods picking out our food for the week, you know like they did in the old days. Not that we would sign up for that kind of deal but the word foraging makes us think that.

But the real deal is that the package includes two nights in a suite at Aerie's Mediterranean style property on Vancouver Island, a two-hour cooking class (not really foraging but we'll let it slide), a five-course dinner for two, and daily breakfast, all for $959.

The hotel is known for its gourmet cusine so it's doubtful the food will disappoint. As for the rooms, there are a bunch of options. The suites are the best lodgings but rooms in the main building can be just as wonderful.

Very large with a king size 4-poster bed! Large living area, large bathroom and a very large hot tub size jetted tub in the bedroom area. We also had our own private deck with table and lounging chairs and a view that was spectacular.

The deal is good through March 24 through May 31.
