A hotel stay that involves a mail-order bride plus entertainment, we can't help but think this hotel is in Russia or even Dubai.

But actually it's the Union Hotel in Los Alamos, California's take on murder mystery-theater. For the past nine years, the hotel has been hosting these Clue-like events once a month. And guests are allowed and encouraged to participate. When they make reservations, they can sign up for roles such as a cowboy, mail-order bride, priest or stagecoach robber.

Upon arrival, they are given their background and learn a few secrets about the other characters at dinner. They also find out whether they are playing a suspect, a murderer or the victim, which they are forbidden to clue anyone into.

The dinner and show costs $60.00. As for the hotel, it's pretty much an authentic Wild West spot (built in 1880) that has now been turned into a B&B. But beware: only some rooms have private baths so be sure to book those. Also, next door is the Victorian Mansion which has six funky rooms with "theme lighting" to stay in.

However, the reviews for either place are not so kind. Maybe just see the show instead of spending $165 on a room.
