Best Telescope Hotel in the US

Ah, so you don't know what a telescope hotel is?  Bet you didn't know there was a Las Vegas New Mexico either.

Quite simply, we are talking about hotels that provide you an unobstructed view of the Milky Way.  In case you haven't figured it out, these places are off the beaten track and in smog free areas.

New Mexico's Star Hill Inn refers to itself as "the premiere astronomy retreat in the country," and we can't find any reason to dispute such a claim.

Sitting at 7,200 feet high near Las Vegas NM, your private cabin will have an excellent view of the sky, and the Inn will rent you a telescope or powerful binoculars.  We aren't talking 'bout Discovery Store telescopes here--this place takes star stalking seriously, and even has an observation deck with big ass telescopes.

Oh, be sure to pack some food before you head up to the Inn, the nearest restaurant is a half hour away.  What?  Didn't you get the point?  These star gazing hotels need to be remote.
