This is the place to stay in South West Lousiana...and we doubt there is all that much competition.

The recently opened 750 room L'Auberge du Lac Hotel & Casino in Lake Charles is still working through the usual soft opening kinks. However, with the pool/lazy river opening this week, and the property celebrating one month of operations, it may be time to check out the L'Auberge.

One early visitor reports:

Now the room is no Venetian or Beau Rivage but is nice and the bed was very comfortable. Made my way down stairs and still found a $5.
Craps table around which was nice. I like playing the $5. tables because the people get more excited then the higher minimum tables.
Didn't win but that was no fault of the casino just bad dice that round, the waitress's were around often with with good drinks, not watered down ones.

$5 craps and stiff drinks...sounds like our kind of party. As usual, if you get to the L'Auberge before us, let us know what you think either in the comments section below, or viaemail.
