Perantzada Art Hotel is a white Neoclassical mansion that has been converted into a twelve room, laid back, low key hotel.

This stylish, fairly new hotel offers great views of Vathay harbor. There is a relaxing pool, modern furniture, art on the walls, and the hotel is perfectly positioned for excursions into Ithaca's capital.

Keep in mind, this is not the place for those looking for Mykonos style nightlife. The sleepy, picturesque, town of Vathy is full of narrow streets and quiet dining and tavern options. It is more eHarmony than Match.com, if you are looking for an online dating site analogy.

According to recent guests, the hotel does not currently offer room service, or on-site dining for anything other than breakfast. However, the hotel is in the process of adding an addition, could their be a restaurant in the works? Let's hope so.

Until then, try Manolis Restaurant for what is regarded as "the best clay oven food" on the island.
