For those of you looking for a way to beat the heat for your summer vacation, why not go to Scotland? Why not look for the Loch Ness monster? Hey, it makes for a good story.

But a vacation in Inverness comes with a requirement: you really should stay at the Trafford Bank Guesthouse, one of TripAdvisor's 2005 Traveler's Choice Award hotels, and one that receives a perfect review. To sum it up in a word and to quote from a past guest, the hotel is "fantastyczny".

We got a little excited at first over this, thinking the hotel was so cool that it was deemed a new and fabulous slang word, then we realized this guest was Polish. This doesn't necessarily mean you won't find us using this word in the future though... The guest continues with more comprehensible remarks:

Our room was wondeful with a large 6 ft bed, flat screen tv, ipod docking station, fridge. We did not want to leave the room...The house has a lovely lounge to sit and also you can access the web anywhere in the house via your lap top, or they even have one for you to use.

The hotel was also awarded 5 stars from AAA and is pretty much recommended by anyone in the travel biz. The charming "guesthouse" is actually affordable too, starting at just 40 pounds a night.

The reasons to go to Inverness are now starting to add up. Now before you smokers get too excited though, the entire place is smoke free. For the rest of the world, this comes as even better news. So pack your bag and video camera (Loch Ness sightings) and find out what fantastyczny means.
