Getting your five a day is important, of course, but sometimes tricky to fit in. So try this work-around: putting one of your portions on, instead of in, your body?

The Miramonte Resort & Spa at Indian Wells, California, already has a foodie menu for its spa, including treatments with wine extracts, and it’s just added a holier than thou-sounding “Farm-to-Table Body Scrub” to its menu – spa menu, that is. It promises “wholesome natural ingredients of fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs”, all picked for their skin buffering abilities.

The spa picks a selection of up to 10 F&V from local sources every day (local sources including the hotel’s own garden), all known for their different properties (lemon brightens skin, for example, and sage busts cellulite). You simply make your selection, and choose either sugar or salt as an exfoliant, and the spa staff mix them up with olive oil, then rub you down. Finally, you get a Vichy shower rinse and a shea butter moisturizer.

Think of a visit to the Miramonte Resort & Spa as a sexy summer cocktail: mix one part Hollywood’s Rat Pack glamour, a shot of desert beauty, fill to the top of the glass with the perfect pool deck setting, and stir up the perfect desert night.

Yep, it’s scorching in Coachella Valley and Miramonte is turning up the heat with special screenings of the 1959 Hollywood classic Some Like it Hot with Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon.

Grab your special someone or gather your friends because next Thursday (and the week after that) at 8:30 p.m., hotel guests and local residents can spend a fun-filled desert night under the stars, lounging in the pool or relaxing poolside during Miramonte’s Dive in Movie nights. Complimentary floats are available on a first come basis and private cabanas are offered at discounted rates for the evening.

Let's face it. When it comes to romance packages, chocolate-covered strawberries and champange just won't cut it anymore. Hotels need to get creative in wooing us to their establishments for some romantical downtime. Which is why the "amorous indulgences" at the Miramonte Resort & Spa outside Palm Springs, Calif. caught our eye.

The resort has designated the entire month of February as the "28 Days of Love" and a "naughty" package has been put together in honor of this month of love.

The NaughtyWELL packages gives lovers room accommodations, a 60-minute couples massage with custom chocolate body butter at the resort's WELL spa, the use of a private poolside cabana, a 30-minute Naughty bath experience (more on that), breakfast in bed and a 2pm late check-out. The cost is $454 for one night and $908 for two nights, plus taxes.

Obviously, what stands out the most here is the Naughty bath which is strewn with rose petals and lit with candles made of oil, not wax. The candle oil can then be poured on your bath partner's body and used as a massage oil. Yup. Now, we're blushing.

"BlackBerry Thumb" is what  carpal tunnel syndrome was in the `90's: painful, pervasive, and symptomatic of our new techie lifestyles.

Your finger digits need rest too, and they can find it at the Hyatt Grand Champions Resort and Spa in Indian Wells, CA (125 miles east of LA).

The hotel's Agna Sera Spa offers the BlackBerry Balm Hand Massage for $80.

First, hands are warmed up with soothing rocks and an aroma hot towel. Next, kneading and compressions loosen muscles and warm oil is applied with firm strokes. The therapist then kneads and stretches deltoids, biceps, triceps, flexors and extensors, and uses an acupressure massage technique on hands and arms. The 30-minute treatment culminates with an aroma hot towel cleanse on each hand.

Ahhh, finally your fingers are appreciated. Now back to LA.
