Bad Rate: Holiday Inn Hosts Orthodox Christian Musicians

If for some reason you have to be at the Holiday Inn in Hillside from August 2 to 5, be prepared to listen to Orthodox Christians practicing their songs for the National Conference on Liturgical Music which is being held in nearby Cicero.

The hotel is offering group rates for attendees so there could be just more than a handful of church musicians roaming about.

We never thought we'd say this but attending a Christian rock concert doesn't seem so bad now.

Check into the Swiss-like Berkshire hotel for only $240 a night, or even less if you choose not to get meals.

Recently renovated from its existing 1800s farmhouse structure, the Swiss Hutte has 12 rooms all with outdoor porches with country views.

Two double beds with comfortable mattresses in all the rooms give you plenty of space to move around, yet cozy enough for cuddling.

Hmm, probably not so much space for rolls in the hay.

Hillside, New York is a great weekend destination for both Bostonians and New Yorkers-- 2.5 hours from either city.

We only wish they could have this sort of offer during the summer.
