If you're a ski buff, then you know about Garmisch-Partenkirchen, a town that is so quintessentially Bavarian. This place is so cute that you'll probably be asked to leave your cynicism at customs.

The number one rated hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (you'll probably find yourself wanting to say this over and over) on TripAdvisor is the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten because of its location right in town and its B&B feel. Guests can get to the slopes in no time from the resort:

The hotel really is conveniently located across the street from the train station, maybe a one-minute walk, if that. We easily reached other nearby attractions from the hotel on foot, as used the local bus system for farther locations like the Olympic Ski Stadium and even the Neuschwanstein Castle (a two-hour bus ride, but inexpensive and beautiful through the Bavarian countryside.

As for the décor, expect simplicity and mountain style and you won't be disappointed, the highlight is the view of the Alps outside your window. You won't find WiFi in the rooms or a spa to relax in after skiing all day. But you can relax the German way with a big ol' Bavarian beer to soothe your muscles. How cute is that?
