In hotel obit news... A Washington State Indian tribe plans on axing a Best Western to make way for a giant new casino, according to the Tacoma News Tribune.
On Tuesday, Fife's lovable Puyallups bought some 20 acres along Pacific Highway East---home to the Best Western Fife Hotel and Convention Center---and will "transform" the cheapie digs into the Emerald Queen Casino and Hotel at Fife, an upscale slots and sleep.
The indigenous gamers are moving 2,200 slot machines from the current site of its Emerald Queen Riverboat casino into the new place, and will add another 1,000 one-armed bandits and 40 card tables.
